Compo 10,328
Caithness is the lowlands beyond the Highlands. There is a mountain range that divides Caithness from Sutherland and the rest of Scotland. It runs East to West across the country and used to form the coastline some 400 million years ago. Caithness is a small triangular piece of land that formed part of Lake Orcadie during the Devonian period and armoured fish are not uncommon fossils around here. It takes just half an hour to reach the mountain range and it can be walked from East Coast to West coast without encountering a house or other human dwelling.
