  1. I didn't believe in global warming until I noticed something strange was happening to Marmite. Years ago it was really sticky and you could always find just one more scraping somewhere in the jar, time and time again. Now, and this must be down to warmer weather, the sides of the jar are clean when you run out as it seems to have a softer consistency. I've yet to see a more important or convincing change due to global warming than that.

  3. I went to the City Hospital today to see my daughter who has given birth to her first child. It was a girl and she named it Phoebe, which was my Mums name. It weighed 6lb 6oz and was born at six minutes past ten. Mmm, three sixes doesn't look good, does it...lol. They are both fine and my grandaughter is a little beauty.

  4. It warmed up more centuries ago and then cooled down again and in actual fact is cooler again now than it was a few years ago. It goes in cycles...and for anyone who is worried the hole in the ozone layer has reduced quite a bit too.

  9. Father Christmas was not in a very good frame of mind - in fact he was very depressed. That morning after breakfast, Mrs Santa had told him that her Mother wasoming over to stay 'for a few days' and he knew that would be for several weeks, and as Christmas was approaching her visit was the last thing that he wanted. The Elves had neen playing up and had gone on strike for more pay. The replacement elves Santa had put in were much slower and the number of toys that had been made was way down. Father Christmas went to visit his Reindeers and found that two of them were pregnant an

  11. I said I'd never have a cat: Back in 2006, where we kept the bin used to flood when it rained hard & we put the bin on 4 bricks to raise it up a bit. One night I went to put some rubbish in the bin I heard a noise from underneath, when I shone a torch two yellow eyes were looking back at me. That's how we got Tiddles & I changed my mind about having a cat, mind you she tries to eat us out of house & home.. :)

  25. Rob.L #6 Still got the cobbler's last which was found in the father in law's shed after his passing. The wife can remember her father actually repairing shoes for the family using the last. Had the last bronzed and it is now a door stop at the front door.

  29. Final picture. I took this after driving toward Cooke City which is the north east entrance into Yellowstone park. I was about twenty mile from Cooke City when the coyote ran across the road and vanished into the long grass at the side. Moments later it emerged with this in its mouth. The "IT" was in fact a baby Badger. After the coyote trotted away the mother came out and gave chase. I managed to get snaps of the chase as it zig-zagged up the side of a mountain and over the top by which time the baby was dead
