  1. @Beekaythey’re his own pics & he concluded he’d developed them back to front so deleted them & reposted the correct way round. Try the second post, works for me
  2. I follow a few amateur photographers & old photo sites on Twitter & one posted a couple of pics & wasn’t sure of the location, he’d taken them some years back but was unsure if they were Nottingham or Bolton. A programme for the Theatre Royal was spotted in one of the pics, pointing to Nottingham. I never got the hang of pic posting on here so I’ve supplied the link.
  3. @DJ360loves a good sneer at those whos political views don't align with his,
  4. Sorry about your loss @Gem. If I had my way you would have been able to be by their side, I can’t be held responsible for knee jerk reactions. Yearly death rates are average, respiratory deaths lower than average. Apologies for not being part of the clique @Beekay, I lost a lot of interest when @IAN123. got hounded off the site.
  5. @philmayfield I don’t know what the end game ‘tho I have my suspicions. Just remember there’s a 99.95% recovery rate, IF you catch it. Average age of covid death is 83, bearing in mind average UK lifespan is just over 81 years. More people will die through missed diagnoses, poverty & suicide.
  6. You’ve taken the bait, London hospital beds: Out of 21,000 beds: 945 Covid patients 150 suspected Covid Only 8% of London beds taken by Covid. Deaths below the five-year average.
  7. The corona hoax is the climate scam in different clothing. This is about fear, and ultimately control.
  8. @suzanne wells I’ll show this to my father when I next see him and see if he remembers the name as he was born in 1926 so it’s feasible their paths crossed. It was going to be this weekend to watch the match with mates in a pub but it sounds like too much hassle even if we got in. There’s a guy on this thread called @Richard Peach his relatives were something to do with the founding of the company. He called in to see the old man a year or so back and had a chat, he even supplied pics of the old clocking in clock. I’ll let you know if the name rings any bells with him, Cheer
  9. Labour’s finished for the foreseeable future RR
  10. I miss @IAN123. contributions. He posted some excellent pics and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Nottingham. Add in some cracking Nottingham anecdotes and you’ve got what should be the perfect example of someone you want on a site dedicated to Nottingham. Instead we get banal posts about bunions (I’ve just made that up, not been on much lately but you get the idea), cats etc. It’s a NOTTINGHAM site, not “Hello” magazine.
  11. Don’t worry, when all the green crap kicks in everyone’s gonna get hammered.
  12. Not Yates for much longer. https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/nottingham-news/nottinghams-yates-close-replaced-slug-2953469?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar&fbclid=IwAR1rrFd1b8WwGB0L8UIJQQkDHH33mYOC7yvS_jvN6TPcfeHuzevN7tzelyU
  13. BBC2’s been a trip down memory lane tonight. Thatcher followed by a doc on the 80’s.
  14. Dunno if it's exclusive to Macs but highlighting the bit you want to quote automatically gives the option to quote that bit. No snipping needed.
  15. Thanks @AfferGorritt Never been able to post pics until I followed your instructions. I presume you're using a Mac? Your advice wouldn't quite work for Windows users. Anyone interested in my test pic? It's the last ever people to drink in the White Lion, Ilkeston, I'm in the middle. Long story cut short, but it had closed down a couple of years before for the new bypass, we broke in & had a bit of a party (taken about 1 in the morning).
  16. Went there for a mate's 60th last year. Food was absolutely divine.
  17. @IAN123. Sapna. Brings back memories. I was working in Dollond & Aitchison, Vic Centre late 70's, when the daughter of the Sapna's owner joined as a trainee. She only lasted a few months but as it covered Christmas we had a do there. Very messy. A couple of years later, I'd moved to Newcastle by then, I took my now wife, with two other couples for a drink round Nottm & food in the Sapna. The place was empty apart from two obnoxious public school types. They were giving the waiters grief, saying they had Aids so they'd have to sterilise the cutlery, we ignored them. until the
  18. Just seen that Notts County are up for sale because the chairman posted a picture of his c*ck on Twitter. What a time to be alive.
  19. Yikes! @Jill Sparrow please don't watch this, it won't be good for your blood pressure. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1846608/Video-Special-case-turns-phone-spoon-fork.html
  20. Some of you may have read in the Nottingham Punk thread how I stumbled across a pic while wasting time on the internet from the Sandpiper in 1977. After contacting the photographer he found 11 others which I bought. Think I've cracked this Postimage thing. We'll soon find out... https://postimg.cc/gallery/wuw5tv3k/
  21. You stalking me?! She’s married to a Lord :-)
