  1. Beg your pardon , it was Richard Udalls bathers I put the crab in, I put flowers in Sally's ! There are a couple more relatives of yours on there too, Trish Bancroft ring any bells?
  2. Here you go, I forgot Peter has put them on youtube, ignore the first couple of minutes, (Peters animation skills coming to the fore) I'm the chubby kid causing mayhem, if you can't work it out !
  3. Glad you're in touch there Angela. I used to go to Sunday school at Main Street Methodist with Sally and later through youth fellowship on holidays etc, I've got some film of one of our youth fellowship holidays somewhere, there's a bit on there of me putting a crab in Sally's bikini bottom (Sorry Sally) I'll see if I can find it. We had a reunion at Peters house last November.
  4. Do you know Sally Smith (Wilson), I know she is doing work on your family tree, I'm in touch with her on Facebook (And Peter) if you need me to get the two of you together
  5. Old friend of mine of over 50 years!
  6. Surely it was Cavendish Drive, Redland Grove, Westdale Lane and Adboulton Avenue.......................... No Park Drives on that route!
  7. Never liked Quentin Wilson, always seems a bit too 'smarmy' for me.
  8. I'm off out to meet up with him again in a few weeks (5th-19th August) We'll be staying a fair old distance away this time as we'll be doing quite a bit of property hunting in the Costa Del Azahar area whilst there this time over, but we are having at least one day with them. In the past few years Chris has gone back to work for "Real Radio" retired,"Power FM" retired, "TKO Gold" retired, "TKO" retired , then back to "Power FM" finally retiring in April (But I'm not holding my breath............LOL)
  9. Who removed my comment in reply to Freckles? The sign of four I remember was under the snooker hall at the side of the old hotel by the Theatre Royal that was demolished around 1980. That picture seems to be on the opposite side of the road near The Mogul E Azam!
  10. Ah the good old 39, I lived about 200 yards from the terminus, caught that many a time as a nipper to go to town, to my Mamas in Lenton or all the way through to Wollaton Park for the Sunday constitutional!
  11. Now get rid of the Kraut bird and Eddie Jordan, bring back Tiff Needell and Vicky Butler Henderson and it just might work!
  12. Do you know Sally Smith by any chance Angela? I only ask as I know she is in Godfrey line some where and is currently researching the family tree.
  13. The 'secret' traffic monitoring cameras certainly were, we had a trip down there when I was in the Scouts around 1973!
  14. The only one I ever saw was at Edale in Derbyshire, it was certainly still there in the early 70's as I rang my Mum from it whilst camping on a school trip in a field nearby.
  15. Whilst listening to "Dry your eyes mate" Easy enough to work out the connection!
  16. And thank goodness for that Freckles. During my sojourn running my pub in the isle of Ibiza in the 90s the mainstay of daytime entertainment in my bar was every episode from series one of "Only Fools" back to back, the next day was a series of "Black Adder", then "Open All Hours", before starting another 'fools' series, ad infinitum! Believe it or not I used to get quite a lot of people in for an afternoon cocktail or two on the pretext of "Watching some English telly for a change" (Most of them had only just got there too!)
  17. A lot of thoroughfares throughout the country don't have a number 13 as it was hard to sell properties with an 'unlucky' number.
  18. Twas my Mums, and I was but a wee 'un, but it's etched in the old grey matter for some reason!
  19. I must know a relative of yours Angela, Peter?
  20. Go on, giz a clue! What has the old General Hospital got to do with Lord Mayors looking like pirates who once worked at the coop?
  21. "Tell me Debbie McGee, what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?" Absolute classic RIP Caroline.
  22. Did anyone ever find my glasses?
  23. I didn't see the match live as I was busy sorting out my sock draw, or something equally tedious, but did catch the last 10 minutes of the MOTD replay that finished around 2 AM (Well it did for me, 'cause as soon as I heard that tw*t Savage with his regular "They got away with that one, that should have been a penalty for me" I switched off and did something more soothing, like giving my self electric shocks to the 'ging gangs'.. !
  24. One hell of a bump! 12 years, it must be one , if not the, biggest. My worst present?................. An incomplete set of drink coasters, 4 of 6 , in a little stand thing, from an old (Sadly no longer with us) neighbour in Carlton, I think she was clearing out her 'junk' at the time. Not a real pressie I know, but a pretty bad thing all the same.......................... We can no longer partake in the old regular "Saturday/Sunday Morning When SWMBO Has Gone To Work Game".............. "Pillow Fights'' which always turned into a 'tickle fest' as our Adam is no longer ticklish and our Charl
