Have been reading an article in todays paper about a bus driver telling a young mother she must fold up her buggy or wait for the next bus as spaces are filled. Not a problem.... it is if the space is filled by a buggy holding a cat, so now bus companies put cats before kids !!

Unfotunately it is not in such good condition but with some good advice on how to clean it might get it near picture. Going to museum tomorrow might even get it to work !!!! Found allsorts and everything in my basement from old range to poss tub and mangle, museum service will collect them and use in displays, much better than thrown away.

Found an old radio in our basement name looks like Thorola, mesh with a casing around. Not in to bad condition as its been there since about 1938. Any ideas of where it was made.

Cliff Ton...hubby says thanks for the photographs and map, we managed to sort out where he was with the help of the lamp post. When we came back to Nottingham after a number of years away all that we could find was the lamp post.

There is one thing you can't find on picture the past, a photograph of Palm Street or Palm Villas. All that they have is waste ground and a lamp post. I have tried every avenue (including yourself) and nothing comes up. As has been said before on this forum if Cliff Ton can't find it, it aint there. Gem

The only reason that Madeline went missing is that she was left alone in a villa while her parents went out. That is what her parents have to live with for the rest of their lives, maybe this is the reason her parents push so much to keep her case alive.

I agree with you 100% to date the amount is quoted is £11 million, what about all the other missing children who could have benefitted from some of this money. Unfortunately our council decided a few years ago to demolish a crescent of regency houses to build a monstrosity. A new council house all red brick. Newcastle council not unlike Nottingham razed a regency arcade and built ugly office block and car park, which they have since pulled down as was never used to capacity.
