  1. OK Cliff ton,...........about 10 yrs ago it was a Lap dancing club,and i was introduced to the owner,she was Russian or Polish,and her words to me were,..'hello,yes i am the owner of this sh.t hole.

Spent many thursday afternoons in Elston/hopkins,and the one on Piccadilly near the bus depot in Bulwell,Snooker was very popular in my youth,and then in the 70s and 80s on TV,...Tried watching it today and it completly bored me,they even talked about wanting it to become an Olympic Sport...........what next Darts !!!!

  4. Even went there when i was 18 in my 1st car,.......sat.night gave the man behind the bar 10/- and bingo, me and the Girlfriend had a Caravan for the night..................Happy days lol.
  5. Great pics. Tompa,bet we all bumped into each other back in those days,'carnie' Margie' and probably many more on here,we used to go in a caravan on Trunch lane the club was called 'Happy Days' and indeed they were.

  15. I'm with you Catfan,ive tried to liven my week up (with wife being away) all to no avail,my chat up lines just don't work anymore,.......but must admit enjoyed trying em out again,.......if any had worked i'd have probably gone into shock,

YES IAN,really busy had a 2.99 breaky again,and because i had to wait a little longer than usuall gave me a free 'Double expresso',i was alittle later than normal and as catfan says it was a bit noisy with 'Mams and kids',...........however mus'nt grumble........half the kids were my Grandkids'....but i hasten to add only the well behaved half.
  17. ITS simply a bowl of 'Hot milk' with white bread broken into it,was a great breakfeast for cold winter mornings.

  20. Welcome Andrea,we have alot in common,...ie Bestwood est,Raymede dr,stint in Sherwood,few years in Bestwood village and Hucknall,oh yes and Padstow school,plus i love Spain and go as much as i can,and last but not least Bulwell, almost as nice as Almeria....lol.
