  1. The spire of our church is the highest point of this village which is on a hill, would that do? Peterborough is only about 20 miles away 'as the crow flies' would that do? Here, catch.... xx
  2. I hope you'll enjoy your Christmas lunch with your son, Lizzie. I'm sure it will be good to spend some time with him. I suppose we are fortunate (although some on here might not use that particular word!) in that our son's wife comes from a very family orientated background. Her siblings and her mum and dad all live locally and the families still do lots of stuff together. We went to a pre Christmas get-together on Friday at our son's house here in the village. There were only 11 adults, 4 children and a baby this time. We had jacket spuds with home made chilli + other bits
  3. We are going to our daughter in law's sister's house for the day tomorrow. At the last count there will be 15 adults, 6 children and a baby. Wonder where we'll all sit down for lunch.... or perhaps we won't sit down? It's going to be a great day with all those lively children - yes, really! Really looking forward to it...

  10. But beauty isn't just someone's body!! It goes much deeper than that...
  11. It seems that some men only looked at the outward appearance of the girls they deigned to go out with! I agree that sometimes this is what first attracts people to one another, but after a few minutes/hours of talking to them, then their character should become much more important than their 'shape'. I hope I'm not the only person who thinks this.... All the lads I went out with more than once weren't classically handsome with 'manly' bodies or 'sharp dressers' They were interesting people who respected me as a person. They were kind and considerate and all of them looked ve
  12. Hello Bigsis. Well I've definitely never met you before but welcome back anyway
  13. Sorry for your flu problem, letsavagoo. Hope you'll soon pick up again. Today, I've been having intermittent sharp stabbing pains in my right ear - hope it will settle down... I can't face trying to get an appointment with the GP. I suppose I need antibiotics but perhaps it will settle down without?

  17. I want to give you a double 'like' for telling us about your walk this morning. PTL indeed! Enjoy the rest of your day, but take it gently... there's always the temptation to do too much..
