  11. Taking the plunge and finally embracing the 21century I bought a super dooper TV to go with the new Virgin TV and Broadband service we had recently. What a disaster! anyone have a spare 10 yr old they can rent out for awhile? The TV remote is the most annoying. It puts a pointer on the screen which appears to have no relationship with where the damn remote is pointing, even backwards and under a cushion it's still there!. No idea what has been pressed but now it nags us to speak to it for voice commands. 'no sod off' 'please speak clearly' 'no go away' 'do you require assistanc
  12. So that's £48M this year added to the £47 it lost last year and so on. Is the loss calculated before the £4.8M payback or after? They reckon on paying it all back by 2034, I think they are dreaming and it will finish up with a huge chunk of it being written off - guess who'll pay for that! Then again I'm quite happy about it.... I live in Derbyshire

  15. As Ben said I don't think leavers had, or have, a clue what they voted for. I certainly have no idea what the full ramifications are and suspect it's going to be some time after leaving that the full effect becomes clear.

  20. You set me off on one now Ayeup. first I looked at your Dr Groves... interesting chap... if he exists.... the company he claims to work for went bust (as did the one before that) before he wrote the book... wanna know what the company produced and what he did? This is probably totally boring other than to you and I so I'll keep digging, but may PM my findings if you're still interested.
  21. Well I can't convince you mate but think of this. Would NASA really let them get away with it? Do you not think they are studying the the progress in great detail to learn just how far China has advanced? They have just tracked a satellite radio signal over 4 billion kilometres, tracking a signal, or lack of, from the moon will be childs play.
  22. That would make for an interesting drive.... I quite fancy a trip like that..
  23. Well blow me down, I skied at Gunthorpe $%""^ yrs ago. Big tip - try not to come off at the turn point Nottingham side of the bridge. One, it's only a few inches deep. Two, it's where the cows come down to drink and pee in the water...
