  2. You will soon be down to Birds, or sending someone else for your refreshments, all the best for a speedy recovery Carni. You will soon be back on your feet or cakes.
  3. Happy birthday Margie, enjoy yourself today and every other day you can.
  4. I know what you mean growing old but I still waste my money on cars I am waiting delivery for a new model Audi Q3 so I can drive like other German car owners, the colour is orange, my only other form of rebellion these days is wearing odd socks, sad isn't it but why change the habits of a lifetime.

Tried BL which I had no trouble with despite their reputation , including a Princess a comfortable car and the much maligned 1100cc Aleggro which took 4 of us and a camping trailer many miles. The lights turned green started letting the clutch out and walking up the other side of the stre

The wife usually goes for a coffee and natter ( gossip) with a walk around Hucknall market , her friend cancelled so I agree to go with her as I need some diesel in my car. Pulls up at Tesco and I cant remember which side fuel filler is, Only had the car 5 years, told you I was feeling rough, lifted out the nozzle and pressed the pay at pump button, wrong one, nozzle back into pump waited for pump to clear, pressed pay cashier,, picke
  8. I wish I had a tent or cellar , this is my spare bedroom where I have to live in when the wife catches me smiling.
  9. Barrie my comments were never aimed at you, they were meant for others. I don't think anyone on this forum could possibly find any problem with you, you appear to be a straight up sort of guy.
  10. Sorry Ben I have only just read this , I had to go back to bed (spare room) I had a rough night and had to go back to bed , I will be in on Friday as I believe DJ will be down visiting, hope to see you then.
  11. I have just found out the wife can use my laptop, so Nonna if you have forgiven me will I receive an invite for dinner tonight or I will be in the spare room eating humble pie, again. Hope this posting will lighten the atmosphere on this Forum.
  12. Nonna I have seen photos of your cooking, I feel sure you can teach Birds a thing or two. But your right I apologise I should have sent all ladies one, will you all forgive me. For the sake of equality for the men also.
  13. I haven't seen many postings from our friend Carni recently , I might have missed them but if I remember correctly see hasn't been to well lately. So I have posted this photo to let her know we are thinking about her and make her feel better.
  14. I think that both of them must be referring to their better halves.
  15. s'il vous plaît revenir bientôt
  16. Here is the photo from my wifes phone taken this morning, it never even produced its passport to enable it to enter Hucknall.
  17. Wife has a photo on her phone which was in our garden this morning, I try to put a copy on later when she comes back home. Its the first time I seen one in the garden which in central Hucknall, not normally seen this far in town.
  18. There is a hell of a difference between banter and harassment and its about time some people understood this. There is no justification what so ever for harassment , you have to know the person well before you start banter as they may consider it harassment and you must respect that persons views.
  19. You can purchase a programme online " touchcopy" its fairly cheap. You install it on your laptop and it enables you to take what ever you want off ipads and store it where ever you want on your laptop, so you can transfer the items where ever you want. I believe it has a trial copy for you to use for no charge.
  20. When a large group of women work together it can be dangerous for us men. In 1970 I worked part time for a rag trade factory just off Alfreton Road near Canning Circus, for two weeks ,as much as I wanted the extra money, I couldn't cope for longer. My job was to take work to outdoor workers most of the time, the company had about 60 employees , the owner an elderly man, a middle aged Irish man who no one could understand , myself an innocent 20 year old and the rest women. I admit I finished after 2 weeks a quivering wreck, most of the time I was out and about in the van, after the first day
  21. Not only for Bens sake what about our Jill she is not to happy with the reminder of the Manning Academy for Young Ladies.
  22. My wife does that every year, then she puts them away in a safe place , yes you have guessed right she can never find them. Some where in the house we must have a secret place full of Christmas cards and lost socks.
  23. Col, I will be in Wethers Friday 8th, look forward to meeting you and Ben and any others, promise not to bore people on good old Bestwood Estate too much.
  24. Ben I have a major problem my wife understands me and tolerates me. She must do we have been married 52 years this June, we met when we were both 17, she does roll her eyes regularly I just don't know why. As a Hucknall girl born and bred she knows many people in Hucknall , when walking through town she complains that I am always stopping talking to people ,she says she doesn't mind but most of them are women. I use to always be in bother when I was younger but I found out you had more fun being a lover not a fighter. I knew I was past it years ago when she said I could go out when I want , wh
