  1. Thanks Deeps, for the information, Albert carried out 5 hangings at Lincoln.
  2. If I remember rightly, at least one of them was used as the dining hall for hunto school. I do remember going to a hut type of place when I was at hunto.
  3. The only guy I saw at the variety club was Barry StIves!. Rude but very quick witted.
  4. When you are 12-13yrs old, you tend to believe owt that big people tell ya.
  5. Never met him. Reg only brought les and Mick, both at the same time! Great pair of guy's, got on well with Gran, and I don't think we ever had any trouble in the café. Maybe the word got round that "Nora" knows some hard fellas.
  6. Only if your on the council.
  7. When I worra lad, les Kellet and mick McManus came into my Gran's café courtesy of Reg King, who was a great friend of the family. And I got autographs and tickets to see the wrestling at the ice rink.
  8. Knew stu before he took the pretty windows, when he did a bit of door work here and there. He used to be friends with geof ash who used to do the door at the mint bar under the Albany on maid Marion way. Sorry to hear about his bad health, he was one fit guy in his time.
  9. If you're not on the brown envelope list, think st Ann's, then you have no chance!
  10. I wonder why, Albert pierrpont never did any hangings at Nottingham!. Although he did at Lincoln and Leicester prisons? Edit I know the answer, Nottingham city council wouldn't spend money on anything that makes sense. They were saving up for some rubbish ideas!!.
  11. Not much to choose between shippos and tolly cobalds in Ipswich they were both rank.
  12. The only thing it's saying to me is, goodbye!
  13. That makes a whole lot of sense, "so what's the topic today councillor's?" Oh let's see how much money we can waste. What a bunch of to55 ers.
  14. Surely it was just the ladies that got knocked up !!
  15. That's what I like to see, transport of the future coming to Nottingham soon. Watch this space.
  16. Plus the fact that when it goes wrong, it will cost a small fortune to put right. Especially now we have "fitters" as opposed to mechanics.
  17. It was from that very John Collier shop that I bought a very nice jacket, it was about 3weeks old and I left it in a Indian restaurant in Derby on a night out. By the time I realized, ie, you can't come in this club without a jacket, I got back to the restaurant to find, yes you guessed correctly, the jacket gone. But more painful than that was the fact that the key's to my lotus elan were in the pocket. And yes, that had gone too!. I have never to this day, put a key fob on my car keys!!
  18. Have a word with Alton towers Katy, they have one when you get off the "Congo rapids" and I think, the "log plume" I'm sure they will put you in contact with the right people.
  19. Thank you, oh master of expert knowledge of all things computerish.
  20. The stainless steel washing machine drums are very good plant containers when dug into the garden, with just the rim left at the surface.
  21. And was John Collier further up on the right hand side ?
  22. Having points to change direction does not make it flexible by any stretch of the imagination. If the daft thing breaks down, fall's off the rail's or gets stuck for whatever reason, the next tram can't get past. Trolley buses can pass with a simple depole, drive, repole. No problem!!
