Eldest daughter went vegetarian when she was 16, it only lasted a couple of weeks 'cos I made some bacon sarnies one morning! Middle daughter has been vegetarian since she was in her early twenties, now in her forties and when we go round to her house I always have vegetarian meals. Can't beat a good roast though when we go home. Youngest daughter loves meat and fish.

I live about 500 yards from the beach and go down there with the dogs a couple of times a week. Love living by the sea. Always a few cafes open on the front and usually have a coffee after walking the dogs. After a childhood of visiting Skeggy or Mablethorpe just once a year I still love the smells and sights of seaside towns.

My father was the same, I remember him telling me he was in Teheran and his superior asked him to drive between some oil barrels in a courtyard and that was the only test he faced. Never involved in an accident in his life.

Speechless (nearly)! What next? ...reports of children identifying as cats and dogs in Manx schools No policies are in place in Island schools to support the wishes of children who want to be identified as something other than human. The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has confirmed a range of pastoral support is available to meet the ‘social and emotional needs’ of pupils. Manx Radio asked for the information after reports of children wishing to identify as animals – including cats and dogs – whilst at school on the Island. The 'furry' su

When I was 14 somebody bought me the Guinness book of records (1968) for Christmas and since then I have bought it every 5 years (2018 was the last one) and I love looking through the older ones still. Much more enjoyable than Google.

Hi Oz, Chips, cheese and gravy is the Manx national dish... Chips, cheese, and gravy is the national dish of the Manx people. It consists of deep-fried potato chips, grated Manx Cheddar cheese, and beef gravy. This local specialty can be bought at many of the island's takeaways. In order to prepare the dish, chips are first deep-fried, topped with grated cheddar, then gravy, which melts the cheese. Every year, on the last Monday of January, chips, cheese, and gravy are celebrated with their own day, called National Chips, Cheese & Gravy Day.
