MRS B 533
Greetings from Tenerife ! Lizzie, I’m just like you. I always have a jobs list on the go and Mr B and his curiosity always has to have a look at it. Before I know it half of them are crossed off unless he’s at work. As you say never complain if they’re not done quite to your liking otherwise they won’t be done again! You can always re arrange Lizzie or Mrs B fashion and they never know. LizzieM 9,514
I’m rather envious @MRS B, I could do with a bit of warm sunshine. Enjoy your vacation!

There’s still a lake at the bottom end of the field. With all that standing water do you have mosquitos?
Beekay 5,188
I'll bet he'll have a few buckets of frog spawn though Oz. Wonder if it freezes, Phil will let the local peasants skate on his pond.
philmayfield 6,197
The days of peasants in villages are long gone. It’s posh people who live in the countryside now. Most incomers are considerably posher than I could ever hope to be. Too posh for mosquitoes.
philmayfield 6,197
One of our cats has just eaten half of one of my breakfast croissants! He nicked it out of the bag on the worktop. Lidl croissants are my favourite as well. 2
Jill Sparrow 10,321
But.... croissants are French, Phil!!
philmayfield 6,197
Ah, but these were from Bingham which has a growing Chinese community so they are ‘clossants’.

philmayfield 6,197
I managed to finish all the grass cutting today but on the last lap at the back of the orchard the lawn tractor bogged down in the mud. Rocking it back and forth only dug it in deeper. The plan for tomorrow is to lift the rear up with the farm jack, supported on a plank, and slide some large rubber pads under the wheels. It’s not the first time I had this problem but I feel a bit silly for pushing my luck near the swampy bits. Something to look forward to I suppose.
Beekay 5,188
It's yer own fault ! Wouldn't have happened if you'd used yer push mower Phil. Failing that, I'm sure Plantfit would've lent you his scythe.
philmayfield 6,197
I haven't used a push mower in years Barrie but I do have an scythe and was taught how to use it properly by an old gnarled countryman. I'm not up to scything an acre and half at my advanced age though.
Beekay 5,188
Aww c'mon Phil, now your'e making excuses. Iv'e every confidence in you to, if you wanted you could do it with a Philishave, (no pun intended).

Didn't dear old Albert define insanity as doing the same thing more than once and expecting a different result?
nonnaB 4,900
What a day . Up until midday we had glorious sun shine and gradually ever so gradually it rained. We quite got used to this last week. However the rain got heavier and it stopped.Outside looking up and down the road it was like 2 different worlds. One side was black black clearly divided by the sun dazzling so bright on the other side it was weird . The combination had brought out the most beautiful rainbow which I will try to post tomorrow. Then this evening we have a violent thunder storm. I’m getting a bit concerned as we are on Orange alert.
Beekay 5,188
Can any kind person oblige me, by deciphering this facebook link for me. Iv'e just received it from a distant cousin, who lives in Notts. But I am not able to open it. Thanks in anticipation...
