.... 23
I'm not hearing any names at all for the manager's position, strange. I wonder about a cheeky little move to get Steve Cotterill back? That would be great for Notts.
mick2me 3,033
the news they're getting a new manager who has never done it before. Part of a modern trend I am afraid. They are going to employ new Chief Constables, candidates who will have no police background!
Gibbo 04 188
Here's a poser for yer! Can anyone remember if two football clubs from the same City have been manager less at the same time.......I can't!!!
denshaw 2,872
Forest just appointed Billy Davis as new manager.

radfordred 6,284
Sam Allardyce who you mention is obviously destined for greater things too. Blinking hector ...... It's looking more and more likely that Big Sam will be the next England manager .... Big Sam!
FLY2 10,108
Can't do any worse. We haven't progressed since the demise of Terry, Lampard and Gerrard for Gods sake.

denshaw 2,872
Two new names then, Nolan and Hardy. Good job one of them wasn't called Laurel.
radfordred 6,284
Apparently 30 managers in 30 years! Kevin Nolan now the bookies favorite! Three months after being sacked ...... unbelievable.
FLY2 10,108
I think that Hardy should relinquish his position, because he's hardly going to emerge from this fiasco smelling of roses is he ?
radfordred 6,284
I see Martin O'Neill just left the Republic? County anyone?
FLY2 10,108
Neil Ardley ? 'Ardley a big name. He's got my sympathy.
Mess 618
I can't think of a rhyme for Karanka.
philmayfield 6,136
It may not have been the managers’ faults. Maybe the players are rubbish. Sacking the managers may have been the cheapest options but it’s proving not to have worked.
philmayfield 6,136
An old farmer friend was a lifelong County fan. So much so that he drove his tractor with loader to Meadow Lane one winter’s afternoon to clear the snow from the pitch for an important match. He used to supply home reared beef and pork to the players. Sam Allardyce was a good customer- he liked to eat his meat raw! He was upset when Gary Brazil took over. He was not a red meat man - just fish and chicken. Sadly he hung himself in an outbuilding but all the County team turned up for the funeral.
Oztalgian 3,294
For all leagues, surely promotion and relegation should only be applied in cases of mathematical certainty. The rest should just be null and void and start afresh next year
notty ash 370
The fact that the League is one team short due to Bury's demise means top teams could be promoted in the National League and Football League 2 and no one relegated
denshaw 2,872
Well done Notts, enjoy your trip to Wembley.
Cliff Ton 10,466
Despite being the successful local team this season, County have yet again got rid of a manager. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/breaking-notts-county-part-company-5223234
radfordred 6,284
Bit late to the party that was yesterday's News? Ian Burchnall new head coach you'll probably have to Goggle him to see what he's done & where he's been?
Mess 618
The owners gave Neal Ardley a good crack of the whip and backed him to the hilt but his tactics simply weren't bringing the results. I thought he might last until the end of the season but he ran out of road. On paper the new man is a good appointment now let’s see if he can get the underperformers to pull their fingers out. Notts look to be doing OK but for the investment that's been made they should be smashing this league. I'm excited. Watch this space.
