MargieH 7,600
Nothing to do with buses, but we had an Isetta like the one next to the bus in the photo. That was in 1965. Once it wouldn't go, so Paul started to push it down a hill, but then had to run round to the front to get in it - he made it, but it was very funny to watch.. I loved it - wish we still had one.

TBI 2,351
They reckoned you had to buy those Isetta's in pairs, one for each foot, lol.
MargieH 7,600
We did have one photo of the Isetta, but I've just looked and can't find it. It was a pale blue colour - lovely
Trickymicky 57
There's some interesting cars there to, Austin A35, Ford Escort behind the bus- first use of the Escort name, Austin Metropolitan above that, and a Rover 100?. Great picture.
StephenFord 866
Our doctor in Long Eaton had one of those Isetta bubble cars. He was a tall elderly gangling sort of bloke, and it was an entertainment to see him folding himself up to get in!

Blackie 14
I sometimes drove that bus Mess, it started at Mellors Road in Arnold, when I started in '74 for a while it was two man operated & went over to one man operation in '75. Hey catfan, Blackie here. New to the site.I worked for N.T.C. from `74 to`76 Drove out of Bulwell depot to start, then went to Sherwood. I remember doing the Boots specials from Beeston to Clifton in `74 Remember the old Regents and Renouns ? well. My first conductor was Dave ( chalky ) White who lived just up the street form Bulwell Depot.

One in particular keep nearly remembering his name and i'll know if you say it,...........big fat lad really awful player but he picked the team.
catfan 14,793
Not sure of the player's names benjamin but, an old driver was involved with the running of the team , his name was Jack Robinson. Hope that may help Paul.
The Pianoman 1,535
There's some interesting cars there to, Austin A35, Ford Escort behind the bus- first use of the Escort name, Austin Metropolitan above that, and a Rover 100?. Great picture. The car you are referring to as a Rover 100 is either a 60, 75 or 90 of 1955-58 vintage. One day a photo of mine will turn up. It is a particularly good picture I think. I can't remember when you could actually drive in front of the council house!
