  1. I remember when we lived in Leicester street st anns , we had outside toilet in the courtyard , scared to use in the dark in case there were a big hairy spider lurking in there !

Remember as a kid 70,s my mate chris radford was mad on nottm forest, me having no knowledge of football went along with him , as the players were getting off the coach , chris said get as many autographs as you can , i ran up to a smart dress guy near the coach and said gizz yer autograph mate , he replied you can have it if you want i am the coach driver, i believe Mckay was the manager at the time !

  10. Hi tre i attended there 1965 ish , can't remember any teachers , but we had a warm bottle of milk with a straw , and you could buy biscuit abbey crunch from the school shop !

Thanks Engineer that's the Radfords I'm talking about , i went to school with Chris radford at alderman.w.derbyshire school 1970-74 , used to drink with chris and Rob in the pubs of bulwell horse and jockey mainly , also remember Malcolm mee , and his brother can't remember his name though might of been micheal, did you live in bulwell yourself ?

Hi folks , just joined the site interested in anyone who recalls the st annes well area before the demolition in the 60s, i lived in rushworth avenue , just off leicester street, Also i was born in marple street in carrington , near cramner street i believe , Also i attended St Augustines catholic school , cant remember the area top of Dame agnes street i believe , there was another school near by elm school? And a street nearby called bournville street which reminded me of chocolate

Hi Rhymester, i lived in st annes well in the 60,s before the demolition squad moved in to flatten all the buildings i lived in Rushworth avenue just off leicester street , back of hungerhill road , we used to climb in those half knocked down houses in them days , no health and safety mob in those days! I used to attend morley school in those days , also went to st augustines catholic school top of Dame agnes road , and remember a milk float crashed through boots the chemist window in the snow .
  15. Used live grindon crescent in the 70,s and every time i strolled pass there there were always folks outside ready for a punch up , do you remember the horse and jockey pub in the centre of bulwell ?
