  1. The thing I find annoying is how many cars have filthy number plates that are impossible to read. The rest of the car is clean.
  2. Carni This is a very interesting link, not seen many of the photos before, could browse it for hours.
  3. Carni Yes old cameras did used to sometimes put one image on top of another if you forgot to wind the film on.
  4. My granny always ate burned toast, she said it was good for you and was also a breath freshener. She also ate all the above things and lived to a ripe old age. Same applies to my mam and she is 98 now!
  5. Not sure if I've mentioned this before. I once worked at the care home that is built on the site that was ballon woods flats. An old lady who lived in one of the upstairs rooms used to ask if we could 'get those children out of her room' they were keeping her awake. We just put it down to her imagination. When she passed away and someone else moved into the same room, they also complained that there were children running around in her room.
  6. FLY2 You only have to look at people who spend a lot of time sitting in McDonalds, pale faced, chubby,no energy, not exactly a good look. Never been to KFC,the smell wafting out of the place turns my guts.
  7. Chulla These pictures are wonderful, are there tram lines on the last one ?
  8. MargieH Its just something I read in a magazine...I don't own a bible so can't look it up.
  9. A Barrel of monkeys is actually the correct term for a group of monkeys. Breaking wind helps reduce blood pressure ,so it's good for your health. Nowhere in the Bible does it say or suggest that angels have wings. More couples divorce in January than in any other month.

  13. May not be a relative, but my late husband had a friend called Graham Barker,he married a woman named Betty, they lived on Carlton road nottingam,I'm guessing Graham would be about 65-70,now.I think they had a son called Dale.
  14. Chulla That sounds very nice, glad to see no garlic,I don't like garlic.
  15. My grandma used to say 'have yo got chats' if she caught you scratching your head, she meant nits.
  16. Compo I don't think I would have coped with all that happened to you,but you came through it all and now live in a lovely home in a beautiful place,I admire you. About three years ago my daughter and I would always try to give a little help to a certain beggar in town.We would get a sandwich or a drink for him ,he was so grateful ,polite, and never asked for anything,we would have a little chat,he always seemed happy to see us.Then he disappeared,I often wonder what happened to him.Maybe he went back to Birmingham ,he told us that's where he used to live.
  17. Went into town this morning, there was a beggar/rough sleeper in a bad way,he looked awful shaking like he was either having a fit or had hypothermia...two policemen were looking after him when a bloke started recording the whole thing on his phone, quick as owt one policeman knocked the phone out of his hand, the bloke went berserk yelling 'you broke my effing phone'
