  4. Talking of songs , remember singing Morning has broken , and All creature great and small in morning assembly at players school on Denewood crescent bilborough in the 70,s , ohhh yeah and I remember a big lump of a lad the local school bully aptly named Timothy Large !

  6. How come all the prettiest girls you fancied at school had strange surnames ? I remember at Alderman.w.derbyshire secondary school in the 70,s the hottest girl in our class was called Sharon rook, fantastic lookin bird !!

Looking through this topic , reminds me of the bread you'd have to bake yourself, it was called "Take,n,bake " also I remember those delicious Mr Pilsbury doughnuts that came in a Pringle style tube , they were scrummy when yer mam cooked them , but sadly not many each four a family with 4 hungry kids !!

  10. Talking of Donkey hill , I loved climbing to the top of there to see the view, my brother went to school somewhere around there Rosehill school , I lived on leicester street one of the streets off of st anns well road.
  11. Thanks Mary I did look on Google map as you suggested, and you know why I can't find Lindon rise ? It was Linton rise ended up on cardale road thanks Mary !

I had two grandmas to visit one lived in Marple street carrington, and the other lived in Sneinton I think Lindon rise , cardale road memories abit sketchy on that one , but they were like chalk and cheese , me mums mum would give freshly buttered bread and a bowl of peach halves , Whilst tother would give you bacon butties dripping with anchor butter , and would drag you to the sink saying look at that tidemark around your neck !!

  15. Tell yer what st Anns pre demolition was good old bad old days , but we love getting mucky and climbing in those half demolitioned houses as kids , I have a photo of me with five kids oldies snowballs in our hands , all the other kids had woolly hats ,mittens and scarves on , except me !

  17. Just missed a typhoon landfall here in the Philippines, just north of us in Tarlac, but it dropped loads of rain and thunder which isn't has bad as having yer roof ripped off , Stay safe folks !
  18. Hi folks , yes it's a pain being left handed , and some countries believe you to be evil , the only problem I found when writing is not being able to see the sentence you've just wrote , hence the line drooping downwards .
