  2. Yes I remember them parading on the cricket field at the time they used to have the coal queen, I have mentioned this previousley somewhere.

    Welcome Swe62 not into bikes much but remember Triumph tiger cub, Matchless, Francis Barnit, Areal square 4 i can't remember if that was a water cooled bike. or was it the Arrow?
  7. Hi Scriv #115 Yes i remember Derek, can't think what his working mate's name was. I used to have roofing material delivered years ago by Matlock transport I don't know wether they still trade. Chettle was another firm of chettles yard opposite white horse radford. Watts was another firm I believe they were black lorries. Dring transport comes to mind I think they were in Carlton possibly Gladstone street.
  8. I had a mate named Ken Bullock his dad had removal business Bullocks removales top of Redland grove carlton, if anyone remembers them. I remember Harriss removals I think was in netherfield.

  18. I'm treading on eggshells here, Would it be a stupid idea to have a nottstalgia badge? of course to be purchased in some way or another. perhaps the size of a ten pence piece. Just a thought or should I keep it to myself?
  19. #9 Rob L Hi Rob I must have worked there obviously in 1972 probably only for a year or so. my trade as a roofer at that time must have dried up for a while, and in them days you chased the money. Harry Loach was the main man and his brother Ezra worked on the tools. Harry Howes was the lorry driver. Chuck fowler Labourer, a chap named Claud did a lot of the drain work, Mick ? was our foreman. such a long time ago. the roofing work picked up and then I left.
