I am 70 but still remember my first day at school......Class 5, Mr Avairy's class at Beardall Street Infants in Hucknall - she was a vindictive snob who picked on the poor kids, thrashed them whenever she got the chance, but the rich little goodie, goodies, got away with murder.......I was somewhere in the middle....... it seemed to be the same all the way through ny school life, I am so glad the tables turned over the years and now the pupils have the upper hand - things needed to change, but, have they changed for the better, I wonder......

I'd love bi folding doors but im indoors does not agree........He's always had short arms and long pockets when it comes to spending money....

Chulla #74 - When I was a child growing up in Hucknall, there was man who regularly climbed out of the attic skylight onto the roof naked when he's been drinking...........All the old dears used to scream in horror and supposidly cover their eyes, but they could all describe him, face and various other parts of his anatomy to a tee to the police when they arrived to arrest him........

I saw a baby Magpie today, first time I have ever seen one, gosh he was so small, must have just flown the nest and he seemed quite tame too, I hope he will be alright on his/her own..........it's a wicked world out there.....I will be leaving crumbs....

My Aunty Grace Roberts was sheriff of Nottingham 1976/77.........she died in 2009 almost 100 years old.....

I have a GP's appointment for that day at 9.25 am - hope it's not an April fool............
