  10. The Royal Children...boozer with a great history..including the shoulderblade whale bone...gets it's handle from Princess Anne's nippers in the 1680's. The Rose And Thistle..just off High Cross Street..a Select Bar by all accounts. 1897 here..on Lower Parliament Street. The Original Dog & Partridge..pictured with Bass and Wilford Chemist.

  12. Some more Nottm Street/Car foters. Mid seventies..Commerce Square abd a mixed bag. Some beauties here..Snenno Mkt. Broad Marsh..me Dad knew Lomas's..them Elfs were nice..but i liked the Kestral better.

  14. Yes, the Methodists were saving souls at one time in the Albert Hall.
  15. Early 1967 on a sunny Wellington Circus, shame the Rectory and other Cathedral buildings vanished..but a new Hall was on the cards for years. Lamberts Dye House can be seen up on Talbot Street as it is not yet obscured by the City Gate building that replaced the Albert, Tess's Cafe .Mia House next to Clements Pianos..and the sun blinds to the Amoy Restaurant can be seen.Just visible up Shepperson St.is the loading bays belonging to the co-op.
  16. The Central Lending Library...seen here in late 1945 and still bearing it's scars from the blitz..Bilbie Walk was a late 1960's add on to this area.
