Compo 10,328
Going back to the margarine for a minute: When I was a kid we used to have "Butter" and "Best butter". Butter was Stork margarine and Best butter was real butter - only for special occasions though. When in the RAF the guard duty was an overnight affair based in the guard room. For early breakfast we had to cook in the guard room itself and we were always supplied with eggs, bacon and sausages by the catering flight and the frying medium was always Echo margarine - yeuch!
