I have the SJCAM 4000 WIFI with waterproof case, bought it on e-bay for £72, both these cameras are very good value. Sent away to china for a camera case, and separate charger ( Total £14 ) because I have 3 batteries, so now I can charge the batteries in the car.
  7. Oh dear, I thought this site was called " Nottstalgia " ???? maybe I have got it wrong. To post photo's and recall memories from a bygone age is supposed to be the main subject, hence the name " Nottstalgia ". I can't see the point about telling everyone about how brilliant or bad of an education we and our offspring are getting or have had. Some of the comments on here are to my mind are downright nasty and down-putting, and to some members might be a reason for them not posting their views. Soooo, we have been to school, passed the 11+, gone to grammar school, been to university, and f
  8. My Uncle... Walter Pearson 5th from the right.
  9. I used to work for a chap called Harold Ebb, on Saturdays, making bundles of firewood, he had a little workshop half way up Peas Hill Rd, it was like a garage type of building under the house. He owned a big Humber Hawk car and we would nip down to Players Factory and pickup wood what the tabacco had been in. His brother Tommy Ebb had a B&B on Curzon St.
  10. First job was at joinery that made wooden roller doors for garages and the like. Can't remember the firms name, but it was opposite the Labour Exchange right on the corner in some sort of court yard, we were on the second floor if I remember rightly. Made tea for the lads and ran errands apart from doing other little jobs. After a couple of months I joined the Army as a band-boy, me and a mate Tony Squires, joined up at George St recruitment office.
  11. Got this for my 60th Glad I copied it to a CD as I seem to have lost the VHS tape.
  12. I remember Mr Searle and Mr Thompson both very good teachers. I also remember falling off the roof where I think they kept the timber, and breaking my right wrist, so it was off up to City Hospital to get it fixed. This was 1955 or 56. This happened at Shelton St school where we had wood-working classes. Comment's from my Mother was.... serves bloody right for climbing. Mr Spungin used to send one of lads the to the printers, I think was on Alfreton Rd to get drawing paper.
  13. Welcome to the band of Merry men & women
  14. A little bird, with plumage brown, Beside my window flutters down, A moment chirps its little strain, Ten taps upon my window–pane, And chirps again, and hops along, To call my notice to its song; But I work on, nor heed its lay, Till, in neglect, it flies away. So birds of peace and hope and love Come fluttering earthward from above, To settle on life’s window–sills, And ease our load of earthly ills; But we, in traffic’s rush and din Too deep engaged to let them in, With deadened heart and sense plod on, Nor know our loss till they are gone.
  15. I have used CCleaner for years and I agree it works very well. Another one that I use is called SuperAntiSpyWare that is well worth trying, it's a freedownload Try it you will be surprised how much spyware it gets rid of. A friend of mine was prepared completely clean his hard drive and reinstall everything, which would have taken a couple of days because of all the updates etc, but ran SuperAntiSpyWare and hej presto everything was back to normal.

  17. The second photo ( #6 ) reminds me of Bath St Baths opposite Sneinton market, that's where I learned to swim, when I was a pupil..( pupil ??? that's a posh word lol ) at Shelton St School.....My form master was Mr Spungin. Anyways when I was too grown -up to bath in front of the fire in a tin bath, I popped up to Bath St baths.......( crikey theirs a lot of baths around ) I think it cost sixpence. I think the place is called Victoria Leisure Centre now.
  18. The wolf is the natural predator of the Moose and other large prey such as Red Deer, Fallow Deer. it's more or less self regulating, if there is less food around and they are in poor condition they tend not to breed so successfully, and if they do and the population becomes too large, then you can be certain that some sort of decease breaks out and kills a lot of them off, hence the need for regulated culling. ex: the spread of Myxomatosis in rabbits
  19. Yes, It's a pig of a subject !!!!
  20. Yes lets kill them all off, like we did the Brown Bear, Wolf, Moose, Lynx.
