poohbear 1,360
Soon as I read this that honky tonk piano music was in my mind every time he appeared in St Trinians...Him and 'Walker' in Dads Army both believable Spivs.
tomlinson 879
I too remember him as Flash Harry in 'The Belles Of St Trinians', a role he carried through to 'Minder' and who remembers 'A Life Of Bliss' on the radio, with Psyche the dog, played by Percy Edwards. George Cole was another personality who was always a joy to see and hear. RIP.

Bubblewrap 3,815
RIP George thanks for the memories. George always seemed to play the dodgey character (Flash Harry Arthur Daley) Anyone remember "Blott on the Landscape""(a Tom Sharpe book)featuring a dodgey M.P. Done on the BBC thirty years ago(was it that long ago EEK) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blott_on_the_Landscape
