Nonna, your latest creation is up to your usual beautiful standard. My favourite one of yours is still the butler.

Just in time PP, although I did wish you HBD on Facebook this morning I’m hoping you’ve had a lovely day ……. you put us younger Nottstalgians to shame with your keep-fit activities so keep doing what you’re doing, it’s working well for you x

Just watched the Arnold Scwarzenegger(sp) interview on BBC Breakfast while on my rowing machine. When asked for his advice he said - "When you wake up in the morning, don't think. Do some exercise. Cycling, running, gym or whatever.. Then start thinking". It's worked for me for decades.

I am the same age as Schwarzenegger, so many thanks Cliff Ton for the complement, I am fairly young member of Nottstalgia.

A few weeks ago I really felt my age, they say you are getting old when policemen look young, but I saw a Hospital Consultant and he appeared to be a young lad. I told him that and the nurse couldnt stop laughing.

Talking of age and birthdays, tomorrow will be my Nottstalgia 5th birthday. And they said it would never last !

Can't believe I'm 4 years older than Arnold Schwatsisname and Trogg, apparently.

Well have to go for a blood test today!!!!

Just a slight hic-cup   now we do not have the car any more, (sold it because of age, reflexes, eye site, not being what it was ect.ect)  going back to the subject  well when we first moved into our over 55s bungalow walking / having a car/ shopping ect no problem. If fact we even had Sammie our dog. Well due to joining this local  club of OAPs I could write a book on illness medication mobility equipment . mobility scooters. ect. back to subject  well master offered to buy me a mobility scooter, OPPS  ??? missed out where we live there are 30 bungalows for Over 55s but they have been built on the top of a hill. A very steap hill.  As I was to have my blood test and I cannot take it out in the rain I telephoned the surgery and I if I could have my BT  Wed sorry the receptionist said but the girl doe's not work that day, So I ask the reception if it was raining how would i get down there, as you can not take scooter out the scooter out in the rain (we had just changed GP) now the GP was only about 25yards from bottom of the road hill,    the receptionist was very sorry but could not come up with an answer, so all I can do is watch the weather.

@mary1947 Sorry to read of all your problems.  I’ve seen some mobility scooters with a big plastic cover - but perhaps yours doesn’t have the facility  to fit one of these?

Hope you’ll get your appointment soon x

Golly, have just been reading about the shootings in Lewiston Maine. We were driving through the town 2 weeks ago on our road trip, just a normal small US town.

The worrying thing of course with their easy access to guns is that it can happen anywhere in the States.
