philmayfield 6,222
Every morning I’m forced to look at that view. I’ve just been outside checking the cars over and it’s bloody freezing and I thought spring was here!
plantfit 7,661
It is here Phil, just not there, cold wind today though but it's bright enough, perhaps the "cloud seeders" haven't been out yet  Rog
philmayfield 6,222
I’ve just got so much outdoor work to do. I’m managing to keep up with the grass cutting but there’s so much clearing up needed and it’s either too wet or too cold. We had over an inch of rain yesterday and ponds started to appear in the orchard again. The max/min thermometer in the greenhouse indicated a range from 0.6C to 43C! nonnaB 4,909
I have pasted this video for you all to appreciate. I don’t know if any of you have seen it but we were mesmerized by this young lady. The beauty and courage that she has is a lesson to us all. Please don’t cancel it or think it’s not in your interest. Just watch and listen.

Beautiful creatures. Am sure you will see some. The first whale of our season has been spotted near a small offshore island, they were on a Big Duck boat tour.

That's a new record.  And the same thing has now happened again, April and May. I may go somewhere else.
Brew 5,440
Huh! I've gone more than 50 years and so far zilch, nada and even bugger all...
Jill Sparrow 10,362
Last month, not a bean for the first time in two and a half years. This month..... YIPPEE!!!!!!! Four figures and second best prize I've ever had.
Cliff Ton 10,506
I think you've got some of mine. Â Last time I had two consecutive blanks, the following month I had a new record high, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for next month.
Jill Sparrow 10,362
I remember that month. It was September last year. I also had a very nice surprise that month.
LizzieM 9,526
I’m happy with my PBs, I get something every month, £200 this time.
Oztalgian 3,357
Never had a Premium Bond in my life. When we came to OZ we played badminton every week and between the group we all bought a ticket in the Opera House lottery. We did this for at least 15 years and never won a thing. You also got a free ticket for being one number off a ticket that had won a prize, never got one of those either.
LizzieM 9,526
My husband has 4 Premium Bonds, bought at £1 each in the 1960s when he first started work.  In 1975, soon after we got married, one of those bonds won £50, which at the time was about a week’s wages.  Since then he’s got nothing but every time we’ve moved house I’ve informed NS&I of our new address, you never know!! He’s really not interested in purchasing more.
philmayfield 6,222
My father held the maximum amount of bonds for a couple of years but didn’t win a bean. I’ve never held any. I do the lottery and Euromillions and consider that my contribution to charitable causes.
Jill Sparrow 10,362
I bought my bonds in tranches of £5k, so all ten lots have different prefix letters. I keep meticulous records of their performance and, over the years, I noticed that bonds from two lots out of the ten have won far more often than any of the others. I'm no mathematician but that does not look like random chance to me. However, they're doing nicely so I'm not complaining.
nonnaB 4,909
I think mine bought more then 54 years ago( long before we were married) have been put on the bonfire.
denshaw 2,878
£100 here, first win in years.
letsavagoo 965
I think I may I have a few PB’s from childhood but have no idea how many or if any. Someone I know were in a corner shop and the person in front of them won a modest amount on a scratch card. They had never previously bought one but were prompted to have a go and bought a Euro millions card. Won £300k.
MargieH 7,615
Premium Bonds are paying out more while interest rates are high.  When they drop, so will the prizes.  Meanwhile, we’re very happy with our returns. i dont see it as gambling (which I don’t do) as you never lose your original ‘stake’.
