How's your day?

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and thanks for the good wishes. Got home about 30 minutes ago so having a cuppa then off to bed.

Actually my BPM didn't go as low as 20..that would have been really  scary.  That was a typo but I was having trouble getting a signal in the hospital.  What happened was my heart rate went very low and I felt very weird.   Lowest was about 30 bpm but it was around 40 for a long time. I went for  short walk to see if I could 'wake it up' but it made no difference and was very tiring.  It was still running slow when the ambulance arrived and they also spotted lots of 'missed beats'

or 'ectopics' and 'bigeminy'.

In hospital I was wired up etc and blood tests taken. ECG showed 'bigeminy' and 'quadrigeminy' at times.  By Jiminy!!!

https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/quadrigeminy

After several hours things settled down to a better BPM with no treatment and they sent me home.

I'm to have another of those 24 hour heart recordings and am on strict instructions to seek help if it happens again.

Nothing more to say really except thanks to Margie for acting as messenger and for her re-assurance. And thanks to all. :)

I am having to look up a few of the words DJ, but thankfully you are in good hands. Hope you don't have any more of these scary episodes, I know myself how frightening it is when the heart throws a wobbly. Take care and I hope you feel better soon.X

I think I am having a bad day, SWMBO tells me I am not, early this year I purchased 18 various Dianthus for a small border on top of  a low rockery, they flowered extremely well. The wife has enjoyed ? dead heading them , she told me that she started doing them again today but seeing there was not many flowers left on them she dug them all out.

Well so much for them flowering next  year, her reply well she had also pulled out most of those white weeds for me.  Thank you very much, so I then went indoors, those white weeds were the Cyclamen growing out of the rockery, at least they will carry on growing. The wife enjoys working in the garden and helps me so much, so I must not complain.

Yesterday I had a text from my GP offering a normal flu jab (like you have every year).

As it's almost impossible to get appointments for anything these days I'll probably accept, just for the novelty of going into the health centre again.

Actually appointments seem to be on the uptick here.  I had one to renew my drivers licence this past week, plus a couple of others.  Seems like they don't want folks waiting in line.  Suits me.  Bit awkward if you are an old timer who doesn't know how to use a computer to set one up though.

Our flu jabs are booked for 26 September but they are being done in the village hall, not the surgery.  We have to attend at 10.25am and have been told to wear loose clothing above the waist and masks, of course.
It will be a case of waiting outside until called and then exiting by another door.

Ben, just google Revelation chapter 13 verses 16 and 17.  A payment card may not be a tattoo or other mark, but I reckon it will soon be going that way!

How about a bar code tattooed on the wrist?

I reckon it’s more likely to be an implanted chip.. God knows!

(Not said irreverently btw)

Iris recognition can, as you say, be scanned from a distance and that is it Achilles heel. When NFC (contactless payment) came out they had to limit the range to prevent others in the queue at checkouts being debited. Everyone would need to have their eyes scanned and registered on a database before it worked. Nor is iris recogntion foolproof, a cataract operation can change the way the iris is seen by scanners.

Bar codes, Q codes do not need such infrastructure and RFC chips under the skin are best of all - for far more (and maybe sinsister), reasons than paying the grocery bill

We both had our flu jabs on Thursday at our lovely local Pharmacy, same as last year.  The surgery sent a text the other week to get appointments booked but apparently they haven’t got any vaccine yet anyway.
A couple of months ago the surgery rang me to see if I wanted to go in for a Shingles jab.  I asked if that was all I was being offered and they said yes as I’d had a Pneumonia jab a couple of years ago ....... I don’t remember that happening!  I’d been hoping to get my Annual Health Check but they were only dealing with Shingles jabs.  I’ve finally had my Health Check, 5 months late.
