LizzieM 9,510
Out with the dog earlier and witnessed quite a spectacle of hundreds and hundreds of motorbikes heading up Mansfield Road through Carrington, with one solitary police car escorting them at the front.  The bikers are taking part in the Great Nottinghamshire Easter Egg Run, from The Forest to Mansfield Fire Station, delivering Easter eggs to under-privileged children.  Looked a lot of fun for the bikers, many of whom were dressed as Easter bunnies.  What time is it anyway?  Not changed the clocks yet 7

plantfit 7,597
Had a great day yesterday, sunny and warm all day,in fact shirts sleeves was order of the day, fetched some petrol from the petrol station near Hykeham roundabout (A46) topped up the scarifier and set too on the moss problem in the grass on the back garden, will see how that goes now, took the old fella at the other end of the close his dinner and sat with him for a bit just talking rubbish, left the trike in the shed yesterday so no trike ride, footpaths swept and all the twigs picked up from under the silver birch tree, the one with the bird feeders on,I think the birds break the small twigs off to get at the food quicker , found me old steel fuel can at the back of the garden tools shed,a bit rusty on the outside so gave it a good wire brushing, put a drop of petrol in it to check for leaks, all ok so gave that a coat of red oxide paint followed a bit later by some gloss black, got tea ready from left over dinner, chicken, mashed potato, carrot and sprouts, took some round to the old fella's and made him a coffee, arranged to take him to the coffee morning this morning, should be a laugh, anyroad, have a great day all  Rog
PeverilPeril 3,283
Lovely morning here in Brittany. Just looking out of the window at four robins squabbling for territory. Never seen 4 robins together before. A jay just came down and shooed the lot off. Mrs PP just left to do last minute shopping and fuel up. We then pack up the car with stuff to take home then hitch up the trailer carrying the 400kg scratter and tools. The Roscoff ferry is only 45 min drive away but not looking forwards to the drive from Plymouth tonight. We will need to make at least 3 more trips before vacating the property for good.
