Cliff Ton 10,467
It's an interesting sign of the times that someone can have a relatively major operation, and 10 minutes later be posting about it on social media !
Beekay 5,151
Just make sure they've put the knee on the right way round, Otherwise it'll be a bugger when you try to kneel when collecting your Knighthood !

philmayfield 6,140
I’ve just had an embarrassing moment whilst I was on the flat roof of the sun lounge cleaning the gutters. A gust of wind sent my ladder to the ground and I had no means of communication other than shouting which produced no results as my wife is somewhat hard of hearing. Just then a neighbour came up the drive and spotted my plight which she found somewhat hysterical. She summoned my wife and the ladder was replaced. The problem is that a crowd of the local ladies are going to their annual WI dinner tonight and the story of my misfortune will lose nothing in the telling! 5
philmayfield 6,140
My wife had to have her wedding ring resized as it was very tight and had to be cut off. She’s just had the quote from Copes to enlarge and insert a new section. £275!! I’m sure it never cost that much when new. I hope she’s not expecting the full works church ceremony and a reception when she gets it back!

Alpha 176
I hope your recovery is progressing well DJ. I did a little too well during my pre-second knee replacement physio assessment. So I'm signed-off until next time, if there is one. The waiting time for a knee replacement operation is two years! My initial knee replacement went very well, it's the physio and exercises after that are more difficult.
DJ360 6,730
Indeed. Last time I was up and breaking all the rules in 24 hours. This time I couldn't straighten the knee enough to feel confident it was locked and wouldn't collapse. Also woke up in severe pain at 02:30 and had a few other issues. But improvement has been dramatic since and I may be home tomorrow. Presently in bed in my single room with ensuite. Prof Kay's Senior Research Fellow came to check on me today, as did someone from Enhanced Care just to make sure I'm OK. All seems very well organised.. So.. things still going OK. 6

nonnaB 4,895
Three days ago we were walking out in the sun and complaining it was a bit too hot for the month we were in. Today and the last 2 days it’s COLD and very cold. Temperature has gone down too much and hasn’t given us time to get adjusted. Sounds pathetic but the difference is too much.
