piggy and babs 544 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Share Posted May 9, 2010 can still do it and have got a couple of the hooks although usually make with wool and finer canvas now make up own designs and back with a strong cotton material. Learned to make them when I was a child could not afford carpets in them days so mainly had own made rugs like many people. But many people had home made cloths and blankets KNITTED OR CROCHETED, and this is a dieing art too I still crochet a lot of blankets esspecially baby blankets I am always being asked to make them for friends grand children and I know that most of them are used they seem to be comming back in fasion with younger parents again the brighter the better but of course most of them dond no how to make them. babs Quote Link to post Share on other sites
