That might be the answer BK but to be honest I can’t really be bothered! I have no photos I want to share anymore - nothing anyone else would be interested in anyway. I read all the posts on NS (except the word games) but rarely post anything as I feel I’ve exhausted all my memories - at least all those that I would want to share!!! And I don’t want to keep endlessly repeating things…… I am very content with my life and will continue to enjoy reading all the threads (even though I don’t necessarily agree with - or relate to -everything I read….. ). Well I'm back home and we've had a crackin' night over at our little community centre, with a turnout of 30 people, which at £2 entry netted 60 quid, half to the winners and half to our social fund. Better still though, the winners gave back their winnings to the social fund, so the residents benefit all round. I did a mixture of verbal questions, visual idententification and musical intros. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and because they bring their own refreshments and nibbles, nobody wentv without. Got back home at 22.45, knackered and just wanting a cup of tea. Got no interest in the politics thread whatsoever but some find it interesting so get on with it, I try to post what I've been on with during the day or the garden and hobbies threads but not everyone likes those threads, the historical side of Notts should have more posts I think because they are of members memories, I don't know what the answer is to creating more posts, we need to attract new members how we do that I don't have a clue, maybe a "welcome to new members" section and encourage them to post their thoughts and memories Rog

Had a big sleep in this morning. didn't get up until 9.15!! Usually 6.15. Yesterday was the last day of the World Erg Challenge for Indoor Concept2 bikes and rowers. There are 6k entries and the idea is to row or ride as far as you can between Mar15th and April 15th = 32 days inclusive. I was trying to get into the top 50 so I made a last effort by rowing just over 15km and cycling 49km yesterday. Just didn't quite make it, finishing 56th. My day today ! Got up had breakfast, but did'nt go to Bulwell, Arnold or Brighton. Went to work though, on a sunny day so very busy as usual. Liked it so much I'm going back tomorrow and with that I will have completed 15 years sentence, er', I mean voluntary service. Get me a new certificate and award next month. I'll make sure I've washed me hands and face for that !

Tomorrow Australian time we celebrate our Remembrance Day 25th April is ANZAC Day The day starts with dawn services symbolising the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps that took part in the Gallipoli campaign in 1915. Whilst I have no relatives in Australia who took part in conflicts I do take time to remember my Dad who survived Dunkirk, was posted with the 8th Army to North Africa then invaded Sicily and fought up through Italy. My mum was in the WAAF initially on balloon crews and then on the bomber airfields of Notts/Lincs. My Maternal grandfather fought with the Royal Ulster Rifles

Not seen this before, a remastered live Beatles concert in Washington, the first one after appearing on Ed Sullivan. The beginning is almost comically amateurish as the screaming audience are on all 4 sides of the stage and Ringo sits with his back to the band ! Good to get up. and see sunshine. Out at 7am for first walk with Jj, just round the block for his ablutions. Breakfast and then about 9.30 the park for ball throwing. Went to the park I used to go on as a kid, just grass now all the equipment, swings, slide, seesaw, witchs hat thingy, bucking horse all gone now. Health and safety I presume. Having worked in the public service for a while. I am a firm believer that you could sack at least 30% of the work force and make no difference to the services offered. I am not talking about the front-line workers in our health services, emergency services, armed forces, transport etc. I am talking about the rapid proliferation of "administrators/managers" whose sole aim appears to come up with more ways of having the front-line staff do more reporting and data collecting thus spending less and less time on doing what actually matters. Yesterday in the Westfield shopping centre at Bondi Junction, Sydney, a man armed with a knife killed six people, and injured many others including stabbing a nine month old baby. The baby's mother is among those killed. A female police officer shot the assailant dead when he raised the knife at her. My sincere condolences go out to all those impacted by this atrocity. I loved Duane Eddy. His twangy guitar sound was such an important part of the early 1960s music scene especially to a budding guitarist like me. I was at Uni in Manchester (Salford to be precise) 1972/3 and used to listen to The Johnnie Walker show on Radio One on Wednesday afternoons when we had free time. I’ve used Toro mulching mowers for the past six years, both a ride on and a walk behind. They chop grass and leaves into a fine mulch so I don’t have to collect the cuttings and drive back and forth to the compost heap. The mulch feeds the lawns and I must say they’ve never looked better. I cut about an acre and a half so I have a wealth of grass cutting experience! I’ve cut the grass six times this year already.

Don't forget those little shoots that appear between the main stem and a leaf stem can be used, let them grow to about two inches, instead of nipping them out and throwing them, cut them off and put them in some water after a couple of weeks they will have roots on them ready for planting in the pots/ growbags or whatever you use, they will grow into healthy plants at no extra cost Rog
